Dear future employer,

My name is Acacia Neuburger, and I am interested in applying for the internship position at Scripps Institute of Oceanography. I graduated from San Lorenzo Valley High School, and am currently attending UCSD as a marine biology major at Revelle College. I am eager to start doing some more hands on research, and I think I would be a great asset to your team.

I graduated high school with a 4.1 GPA, and have been working hard to maintain good grades in college. During high school, I had the privilege to participate in lots of biology classes, as well as aquaculture and aquaponics classes. The aquaponics and aquaculture classes gave me lots of experience in caring for fish and other aquatic animals, as well as recording important data and doing important research. I believe that the skills I learned from all of these classes will be very helpful in the internship position you are offering.

I am extremely passionate about marine biology, and marine conservation. I am a hard worker, and a very dedicated and responsible person overall. I feel confident that I would thrive in this position, and bring a lot of value to the Scripps Institute of Oceanography research program.
